Summer Fete - 19th August

Join the fun and laughter in support of a worthy cause

Make the most of the summer at Evolution Park's Summer Fete, which will take place on Thursday 19th August. The event will celebrate the park's second birthday, with fun for all the family. There will be a whole host of entertainment and fun activities planned throughout the day, including:

• Barbecue and soft drinks (burgers, sausages, chicken, salad, vegetarian options and seating area)
• Popcorn and candyfloss stall
• Mrs Dowson's homemade ice-cream
• Rodeo bull
• 20ft giant inflatable slide
• Blackburn Rovers "beat the goalie" challenge
• Tombola stall
• Inflatable giant Nintendo Wii
• Inflatable basketball
• Coconut shy stall
• Ball in a bucket stall
• Tin can alley stall
• Face painter
• Clown entertainer (with stilt walking, funny magic and balloon sculpting)
• Inflatable children's play zone (complete with soft play and ball pool)
• Giant Lego, giant Jenga, giant Connect 4 and giant Twister
• Tug of War competition
• Compere / DJ (with music)

There's also a Grand Prize Draw with prizes including a brand new iPhone, iPod, black computer chair, £50 M&S vouchers, beautiful internal plant display, family day pass to Trentham Gardens, cut-and-colour voucher for Fitzy's hair salon, ice skating tickets, cinema tickets, DW Fitness membership, and much more.

DAPA Dance Academy will be performing a variety of dance demonstrations on the day too, including line dancing, teenage boys' hip hop, teenage girls' street dance and belly dancing. Salsa lessons will also be available. Meanwhile, local press and radio representatives will be covering the event and shoppers will be delighted to discover a fancy cup cake stall, fancy chocolate stall, jam stall, candle and gift stall, jewellery stall and a bedding plant stall.

The fete is being held in support of the British Lung Foundation's support group Breathe Easy. Their sterling work helps thousands of people across the UK who battle lung conditions every day. Proceeds from the event will be donated directly to Breathe Easy, so bring your family, enjoy yourselves, and help to support this great cause!
